On May 7, the 2nd meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) Working Group on Cooperation in Tourism was held in a video conference format, with the participation of representatives from the State Tourism Agency.

The meeting was chaired by Jalil Malikov, Deputy Head of Staff of the State Tourism Agency and Head of the International Relations Department. Discussions focused on the sustainable development of tourism in the region, Azerbaijan’s 2023-2024 chairmanship plans for BSEC, efforts to strengthen cooperation among member states, and the outcomes of the First Meeting of BSEC Tourism Education Institutions, which was organized by the State Tourism Agency in Baku on April 22-23, 2024.

During the session, representatives from member states delivered presentations on their respective countries’ tourism potential, and a summary report of the discussions was adopted as the final outcome of the meeting.

It is worth noting that the first meeting of the BSEC Working Group on Tourism Cooperation was held in October 2023.
